The Anointing: When God Moves Beyond Methods<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is an anointing from the Holy One, and it is not a concept\u2014it is the living presence of God resting upon a surrendered life. \u201cBut you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know.\u201d<\/strong> (1 John 2:20) \u201cThe anointing which you have received from Him abides in you.\u201d<\/strong> (1 John 2:27)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many have been taught that healing must always come by the laying on of hands because Scripture records it. Yet Scripture also records, again and again, that God heals without hands\u2014by a word, by authority, by obedience, by faith, and even at a distance. God is faithful to what is written, but He is not bound by a legalistic approach to what is written. \u201cThe letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.\u201d<\/strong> (2 Corinthians 3:6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When You Are Anointed, Healing Can Happen Before Hands Are Laid<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When the anointing is present, people can be healed while they are still waiting for prayer\u2014before anyone touches them\u2014because the Holy Spirit is already moving. This is not new. This is the pattern of Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus healed without laying hands on people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He healed by a word at a distance. The centurion said, \u201cOnly speak a word, and my servant will be healed.\u201d<\/strong> (Matthew 8:8) Jesus answered with authority, and Scripture testifies, \u201cAnd his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.\u201d<\/strong> (Matthew 8:13)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He healed before He arrived. To the nobleman whose son was dying, Jesus said, \u201c<\/strong>Go your way<\/strong>; <\/strong>your son lives<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong> (John 4:50) When the father returned, he learned the healing had already taken place at the very time Jesus spoke. \u201cSo, the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, <\/strong>Your son lives<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong> (John 4:53)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He delivered and healed at a distance. To the Syrophoenician woman, Jesus declared, \u201c<\/strong>For this saying go your way<\/strong>; <\/strong>the devil is gone out of your daughter<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong> (Mark 7:29) And the Word confirms, \u201cAnd when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.\u201d<\/strong> (Mark 7:30)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He healed as people obeyed His instruction. To the ten lepers He did not lay hands on, but commanded, \u201c<\/strong>Go show yourselves unto the priests<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong> (Luke 17:14) And the miracle unfolded in motion: \u201cAnd it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.\u201d<\/strong> (Luke 17:14)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He healed by forgiving and commanding\u2014without touch. When the paralyzed man was lowered through the roof, Jesus spoke, \u201c<\/strong>Son<\/strong>, <\/strong>your sins be forgiven you<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong> (Mark 2:5) Then He released healing by command: \u201c<\/strong>Arise<\/strong>, <\/strong>and take up your bed<\/strong>, <\/strong>and go your way<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong> (Mark 2:11) And the man rose immediately. \u201cAnd immediately he arose.\u201d<\/strong> (Mark 2:12)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He healed by a simple command of faith. To the man with the withered hand, Jesus said, \u201c<\/strong>Stretch forth your hand<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong> (Matthew 12:13) And the Word says, \u201cAnd he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole.\u201d<\/strong> (Matthew 12:13)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He healed those who cried out and believed\u2014by a word. To blind Bartimaeus, Jesus declared, \u201c<\/strong>Go your way<\/strong>; <\/strong>your faith has made you whole<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong> (Mark 10:52) And Scripture records, \u201cAnd immediately he received his sight.\u201d<\/strong> (Mark 10:52)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He healed when faith reached for Him\u2014without Him laying hands. The woman with the issue of blood said, \u201cIf I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.\u201d<\/strong> (Mark 5:28) And the Word testifies, \u201cAnd straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up.\u201d<\/strong> (Mark 5:29)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He healed multitudes through contact with His presence, not through His hands. \u201cAs many as touched Him were made perfectly whole.\u201d<\/strong> (Matthew 14:36)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, while you are waiting for prayer, do not waste the waiting. Search the Scriptures and feed your faith with these testimonies. \u201cSo, then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.\u201d<\/strong> (Romans 10:17) For it is written, \u201cHe sent His word, and healed them.\u201d<\/strong> (Psalm 107:20)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Personal Testimony<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After I was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1991, I saw people getting healed outside churches and stadiums while they were waiting for the meetings and healing services to begin. People were amazed, because they believed they had to approach the preachers, ask for healing, and have hands laid on them in order to be healed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But that day, when I was baptized in the Holy Spirit, I walked out with two warm, swirling \u201cballs\u201d of power on my hands\u2014about the size of basketballs. I felt it. People I touched felt it. Some said they could even see it around my hands, though I never could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this, the Lord showed me that He is not legalistic\u2014He is not confined to one outward method, or to doing things in only one sequence. What He does is written, but He is not controlled by our rigid formulas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, the book of Acts often shows tongues as a sign accompanying the baptism in the Holy Spirit. \u201cAnd they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues.\u201d<\/strong> (Acts 2:4) Yet the Lord gave me healing first. About a week later, I received tongues, and also the interpretation of tongues\u2014gifts that Scripture lists among the manifestations of the Spirit. \u201cTo another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.\u201d<\/strong> (1 Corinthians 12:10)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And this is part of what it means to know God: not merely to read the Bible as information, but to be taught by the Holy Spirit through living fellowship with Him. \u201cBut the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit\u2026 He shall teach you all things.\u201d<\/strong> (John 14:26)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forgive Before You Pray: Keep the Flow Unblocked<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you desire the power of God to flow freely, you must guard the heart. Unforgiveness, strife, and disobedience grieve the Holy Spirit and hinder prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus said, \u201c<\/strong>And when you stand praying<\/strong>, <\/strong>forgive<\/strong>, <\/strong>if you have anything against anyone<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong> (Mark 11:25) And Scripture warns, \u201cDo not grieve the Holy Spirit of God.\u201d<\/strong> (Ephesians 4:30) The Word also declares, \u201cIf I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.\u201d<\/strong> (Psalm 66:18)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is why some who truly believe in healing still ask, \u201cWhy do I believe, yet I am not healed?\u201d Because healing is not only about quoting verses; it is about faith meeting the living presence of God with a clean conscience and a surrendered life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Healing Is Not Only Verses\u2014It Is Faith and Anointing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It is possible to have Scriptures in the mouth and still lack the power of God in the life. \u201cFor the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.\u201d<\/strong> (1 Corinthians 4:20)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, the Word reveals healing. But the anointing destroys the yoke: \u201cAnd the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.\u201d<\/strong> (Isaiah 10:27) Many know the letter and argue the method, yet do not know the Spirit who gives life. \u201cHaving a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.\u201d<\/strong> (2 Timothy 3:5)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even after Jesus ascended, the Lord continued to heal without hands being laid on the sick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People were healed as Peter\u2019s shadow passed over them. \u201cThey brought forth the sick\u2026 that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.\u201d<\/strong> (Acts 5:15)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People were healed through cloths carried from Paul\u2014without Paul touching them. \u201cFrom his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them.\u201d<\/strong> (Acts 19:11\u201312)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are not tricks. These are witnesses that the Holy Spirit is not confined to one outward method. The power belongs to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What It Means to Know God: Baptism in the Holy Spirit<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To know God is more than agreeing with Scripture. It is to be made alive by the Spirit and empowered by the Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus said, \u201c<\/strong>You must be born again.<\/strong>\u201d<\/strong> (John 3:7) And He promised power for witness and ministry: \u201c<\/strong>But you shall receive power<\/strong>, <\/strong>after that the Holy Spirit has come upon you<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong> (Acts 1:8) The early believers did not only study promises\u2014they received the Spirit: \u201cAnd they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.\u201d<\/strong> (Acts 2:4) And with that infilling came the manifestation of spiritual gifts: \u201cBut the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.\u201d<\/strong> (1 Corinthians 12:7)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Prophetic Charge<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In this hour, God is calling His people out of lifeless religion and into living fellowship. He is raising believers who will not merely speak of miracles, but carry His presence. And when the Holy Spirit rests upon the one He has anointed, healing can manifest before hands are ever laid\u2014by a word, by faith, by obedience, by the authority of Christ\u2014because Jesus is the Healer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.\u201d<\/strong> (Hebrews 13:8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
