In an age where people cling desperately to the fading vapor of earthly life, the Lord is once again lifting His voice to remind His people of the eternal truth: <strong>life is not the treasure\u2014God is.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The words that follow are not philosophical reflections or religious musings. They are a summons. A summons to return to the first love, to abandon the illusion that this world can satisfy, and to embrace the holy reality that only the Spirit of God can reveal: <strong>to love God more than life itself is the true meaning of life.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This message is for the young in faith, the seasoned believer, and the wandering heart alike. It is for anyone who senses the Spirit stirring within them, urging them to loosen their grip on the temporary and anchor themselves in the eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May the Holy Spirit open your understanding, reorder your affections, and draw you into the kind of love that cannot be shaken by fear, loss, or death. For the one who loves God above all is the one who truly lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Loving God More Than Life (Not Clinging to This Life)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Life &#8230; When mankind fell away from God in Eden, the heart shifted: instead of loving God, man became a lover of his own life\u2014natural-minded and spiritually dead (Genesis 3:6\u20137; Ephesians 2:1\u20133; 1 Corinthians 2:14). That\u2019s why, when death draws near, even the strongest often panic and cling to life (Hebrews 2:14\u201315). Over time, the Lord leads you into the true meaning of life: loving God more than this world, and more than even the closest family ties (Matthew 10:34\u201339; Colossians 3:1\u20133; 1 John 2:15\u201317).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>It Is Written<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Matthew 10:34\u201339 (Living Bible)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDon\u2019t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! No, rather, a sword. I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law\u2014 a man\u2019s worst enemies will be right in his own home! If you love your father and mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine. If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. <strong>If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give it up for me, you will save it.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><\/strong><strong>Luke 14:25\u201333 (Living Bible)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGreat crowds were following him. And no one can be my disciple who does not carry his own cross and follow me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But don\u2019t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first getting estimates and then checking to see if he has enough money to pay the bills? Otherwise he might complete only the foundation before running out of funds. And then how everyone would laugh! \u2018See that fellow there?\u2019 they would mock. \u2018He started that building and ran out of money before it was finished!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or what king would ever dream of going to war without first sitting down with his counselors and discussing whether his army of 10,000 is strong enough to defeat the 20,000 men who are marching against him? Each one pushes back against the pull of the world. And each one helps the heart loosen its grip on what is passing so it can cling more tightly to what is eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you walk through these steps with sincerity\u2014even imperfectly\u2014you will find your fears shrinking, your priorities sharpening, and your love for Christ growing. Scripture does not flatter human nature. It tells us plainly that without the Spirit of God, a person may be intelligent, disciplined, moral, or even outwardly religious, yet still unable to grasp the things of God. The natural mind is limited to what the senses can perceive, what human reasoning can explain, and what self\u2011interest desires. It cannot see the kingdom. It cannot understand spiritual truth. It cannot produce real holiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is not an insult\u2014it is a diagnosis.
