Iโm Including Two Messages in This Post
Foreword
Beloved reader, this post is shared in reverence and in loveโespecially for those the Lord has been keeping in the secret place. In this hour, many voices compete for your attention, but the Holy Spirit is calling the remnant back to sobriety, separation, and steadfast devotion to Jesus Christ.
What follows contains two connected messages: a warning to guard what God has preserved in you, and a clarification about โpowerโ in the Bodyโso that no one mistakes personal anointing for public possession, and no one substitutes another believerโs oil for their own walk with God. Receive these words prayerfully, weigh them by Scripture, and let the Lord search your heart. The aim is not fear, but protection; not condemnation, but repentance; not spiritual display, but endurance and obedience until the end.
May the Spirit and the Word keep you close to Christ.
Message 1: A Warning to the Remnant (Those God Has Kept in the Prayer Closet)
Beloved of the Lordโthose He saved from the Covid, anointed, and has been keeping close to Himself in the secret placeโhear this warning with sobriety and love:
If you choose to come out of that hidden fellowship for the world, you can lose what God has been preserving in you. If you want to lose that anointing and that closeness with the Holy Spirit, then go ahead and step out. But understand what youโre risking.
The Lordโs word to you is this:
“Stay away from people. They will corrupt you.”

Message 2: โMy Powerโ โ What Is My Job in the Body?
The Lord wants to speak to you about My Power.
You have been asking God, โWhat is his job in the church? What is his role in the Body?โ
But the Lord did not answer you the way you expectedโbecause He is addressing something deeper first.
He is telling you this: what you are seeing is a personal anointing. It is not for display. It is not for people to claim. It is not for others to use.
What youโre seeing is an anointing to take me to Heaven. It is for myย walk with Godโmyย enduranceโmyย survival in this world.
The Lordโs Word (About Why He Gave Me This Anointing)
“I gave you this power from My own purpose {Ephesians 2:10}. It’s the anointing to help you make it back when you fall against the devil’s strategies {John 10:10; 2 Corinthians 2:11}. That’s what’s keeping you in sin {Romans 6:1โ2}. You know I’ll forgive; I love you {1 John 1:9; Romans 5:8}. So, don’t use this as a license to sin {Romans 6:1โ2; Galatians 5:13}. I gave you my anointing and wisdom to make it through this world {1 John 2:27; James 1:5; 2 Timothy 3:16โ17}.โ
And hear this clearly:
- Godโs anointing is another way of saying the Spirit.
- Godโs wisdom is another way of saying the Word.
The Spirit and the Word. Godโs anointing and Godโs wisdom.
Postscript: Seek Your Own OilโYour Own Salvation
Beloved, donโt make another personโs anointing your focus. What God gives to one is not given for everyone to claim, copy, or live through. Each believer must know the Lord for themselves {Jeremiah 29:13}. Each must carry their own oil {Matthew 25:1โ13}. Each must work out their own salvation with fear and trembling {Philippians 2:12}.
1) Salvation Is PersonalโCome to Jesus Yourself {John 1:45, 46}
No one is saved by proximity to a gifted person. You are saved by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ:
- Repent and turn to God {Acts 3:19}.
- Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ {Acts 16:31}.
- Confess Jesus as Lord and believe God raised Him from the dead {Romans 10:9โ10}.
- Receive the gift of salvation by grace through faith {Ephesians 2:8โ9}.
2) Stop Chasing Another Personโs AnointingโFollow Christ
The Lord did not call you to live off someone elseโs relationship with Him. Follow Jesus:
- โFollow Meโ {Matthew 4:19; John 21:22}.
- Fix your eyes on Jesus {Hebrews 12:2}.
- Abide in Himโbecause apart from Him you can do nothing {John 15:4โ5}.
And remember: God gives different measures and gifts, but the same Spirit {1 Corinthians 12:4โ11}. Donโt envy what God placed on anotherโsteward what He placed on you {1 Peter 4:10}.
3) Get Your Own Anointing (Oil): Ask, Seek, Obey
Godโs anointing is His Spirit, and He gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask and obey Him:
- The Father gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask {Luke 11:13}.
- God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him {Acts 5:32}.
- Be filled with the Spirit {Ephesians 5:18}.
- Do not grieve the Holy Spirit {Ephesians 4:30}.
- Do not quench the Spirit {1 Thessalonians 5:19}.
4) Donโt Use Mercy as PermissionโCome Out of Sin
If you keep leaning on โGod will forgiveโ while choosing sin, you are abusing grace. The Word is clear:
- Shall we continue in sin? God forbid {Romans 6:1โ2}.
- Godโs grace teaches us to deny ungodliness {Titus 2:11โ12}.
- If we confess our sins, He forgives and cleanses {1 John 1:9}.
5) The Spirit and the Word Will Keep You
God did not leave you defenseless. He gave you His Spirit and His Word:
- Your Word is a lamp to my feet {Psalm 119:105}.
- All Scripture equips you for every good work {2 Timothy 3:16โ17}.
- Walk in the Spirit and you wonโt fulfill the lust of the flesh {Galatians 5:16}.
- Resist the devil and he will flee {James 4:7}.
A Simple Prayer (If You Mean It)
โLord Jesus, I repent. Save me. Wash me clean. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Give me wisdom through Your Word. Teach me to abide in You and to walk in obedience. Keep me from temptation and deliver me from evil. In Jesusโ name.โ {Acts 3:19; John 15:4; Luke 11:13}
Donโt watch someone elseโs oilโgo buy your own. {Matthew 25:8โ10}
Motivational Drives: Natural Roots and Spiritual Gifts
1) Natural Motivational Roots (Natural Drives)
All human beings have natural motivational drivesโbuilt-in talents, interests, and abilities that show up in everyday life. These are the things you tend to do โby default,โ often without thinking about it.
Examples (natural drives):
- A writer is always writingโjournaling, posting, creating stories, taking notes.
- A teacher is always explainingโbreaking things down so others understand.
- A builder/creator is always improvingโfixing, designing, organizing, making things work better.
- A helper naturally notices needsโjumping in to support people.
- A leader naturally takes initiativeโorganizing people and making plans.
Scripture connections (natural abilities used for Godโs purposes):
- Exodus 31:1โ6 โ God highlights skill and craftsmanship (natural ability) for His work.
- Proverbs 22:29 โ Diligence and skill open doors.
- 1 Corinthians 10:31 โ Even ordinary actions can be done for Godโs glory.
2) Spiritual Motivational Drives (Spiritual Gifts)
Spiritual gifts are motivational drivesโgrace-enabled ways the Holy Spirit works through believers. Many times, people operate in these gifts without realizing theyโre spiritual gifts, because it feels โnormalโ to them.
When someone is born again, God can empower and direct their motivations so they serve His purposes with spiritual fruit and impact.
Examples from Romans 12:6โ8 (spiritual drives):
- Prophecy โ compelled to speak what aligns with Godโs truth and warning. (Romans 12:6)
- Service/Ministry โ driven to meet needs and support others. (Romans 12:7)
- Teaching โ compelled to explain Scripture clearly and accurately. (Romans 12:7)
- Exhortation (Encouragement) โ driven to strengthen, correct, and urge people forward. (Romans 12:8)
- Giving โ motivated to supply needs generously and simply. (Romans 12:8)
- Leadership โ compelled to organize, guide, and take responsibility diligently. (Romans 12:8)
- Mercy โ moved with compassion to restore and care for the hurting. (Romans 12:8)
Key Scripture:
- Romans 12:6โ8 โ the gifts and how they function as Spirit-empowered motivations.
- 1 Peter 4:10โ11 โ gifts are to serve others and glorify God.
- 1 Corinthians 12:4โ7 โ gifts differ, but the Spirit works through them for the common good.
Putting it together:
What a person consistently doesโwhether naturally or spirituallyโoften reveals their motivational roots. A writer keeps writing. A preacher keeps talking. A helper keeps helping. And when those natural drives are surrendered to God, the Holy Spirit can amplify them into spiritual gifts that bless the Body of Christ and point people to Jesus.
Carry Your Own Oil: Discovering Your Natural and Spiritual Motivational Drives
The point of this message about carrying your own oil is this: the Lord is showing me that many people become envious of someone elseโs spiritual gifts and end up focusing on what others carry instead of discovering what God has placed in themโtrying to โlive off another personโs oilโ because they donโt yet recognize their own gifts.
The Lord says that once a person understands what their gifts and motivational drives are, they wonโt be distracted by someone elseโs calling. Their focus will shift, because theyโll begin to see that God has already wired them to do certain thingsโoften without even realizing those things are gifts.
When you discover your deepest natural and spiritual motivational drives, it brings a joy and fulfillment that no one else can give you, because it reveals who you are and what God designed you to do. Youโll feel compelled to walk in what God put inside you. And living out what drives youโnaturally and spirituallyโwithout striving about what others do for Jesus, is part of your destiny and your fulfillment as you serve Jesus and strengthen His church.
Conclusion
When you discover who you are and what you naturally do โby default,โ nothing is more fulfilling. It breaks the power of envy and the habit of focusing on other peopleโs talents and gifts, because you begin to recognize your ownโand you start walking in them with joy. That joy drives out distraction and envy.
Youโre striving the way Peter did when he shifted his focus onto Johnโs ministry instead of embracing his own assignment (John 21:18โ23). That happens when you donโt realize youโre already walking out your spiritual gifts every day โby default.โ God has wired these gifts into who you are, and operating in them brings a fulfillment and meaning to life that nothing else can matchโday after day.
Have you ever been asked, โWhat do you do?โ When you begin to recognize that what you consistently do is often connected to your gifts, the joy you experience in doing what God made you to do will replace distraction and envyโbecause now you know what “you do”.

Epilogue
If you have read this with conviction, donโt rush past itโrespond to the Lord. The secret place is not where God hides you to harm you, but where He shelters you to preserve you. Guard your company. Guard your heart. Guard the deposit. And above all, abide in Jesusโbecause the hour is late, and many will trade intimacy for distraction.
Let this be your takeaway: donโt live off another personโs fire. Seek the Lord for yourself. Carry your own oil. Walk in repentance. Refuse to use mercy as permission. The Holy Spirit and the Word are Godโs provision for your survival, your discernment, and your endurance until you finish your race.
If youโve drifted, come backโtoday. If youโve been careless, get guardedโtoday. If youโve been watching others instead of seeking Jesus, turn your eyes back to Himโtoday.
โLord Jesus, keep me in the secret place. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Anchor me in Your Word. Deliver me from temptation. Teach me to obey. Preserve me blameless until Your coming. In Jesusโ name.โ Amen.
